How do I get to Alta Canal House Prinsengracht?
Alta Canal House Inn is located on Prinsengracht 667, one of the 4 major canals of Amsterdam.
Look for the doorplate that says, “MALFERRARI van KLEEF”.
By public transport
From Schiphol Airport, take a train(runs every 15 minutes) to Amsterdam Central Station. From the Central Station, take Tram nr. 2 or 12(which stop in front of Central Station) and tell the tram driver or conductor to announce the “Prinsengracht” tram stop. Go down at this tram stop and make sure you are walking on the uneven side of the canal to reach Prinsengracht 667. The canal house is approximately 200 meters from the tram stop. By taxi
Tell the taxi driver to go to the Prinsengracht at the corner of the Leidsegracht. Look at the restaurant Casa Peru. Our location is on the left. Taxi fare from Schiphol International Airport will approximately be 50 euros (30-40 minutes).
By car
Coming from Schiphol, The Hague (A4), Utrecht (A2), Amersfoort (A1):
Follow directions towards Amsterdam on the A10 highway and take exit S108 (Olympisch Stadion). Follow the signs ‘P+R’. Here you can park your car and take tram 16 or 24 towards Amsterdam Central Station. Tram tickets are included in the P+R price of 8 euros per day (with a maximum of 4 days in a row).
